CareOnDemand’s Compliance Policy ensures we meet all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements, upholding the highest standards of safety, fairness, and legal integrity across our operations in accordance with Canadian laws.

Compliance Monitor

CareOnDemand will implement systems and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

 

  • Regular Audits and Reviews: CareOnDemand conducts regular internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to provincial and federal regulations, including industry-specific standards for healthcare services.

  • Monitoring Systems: Monitoring tools will be used to track adherence to policies related to privacy, data security, licensing, accreditation, and ethical business conduct.

  • Compliance Officer: The Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing the monitoring processes and ensuring that all areas of the business meet legal and regulatory requirements.

 

Employee Responsibilities

 

All employees, contractors, and care workers at CareOnDemand are responsible for:

 

  • Adhering to Policies: Ensuring their daily activities comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Reporting Violations: Promptly reporting any concerns or suspected violations of compliance requirements, laws, or internal policies.

  • Cooperating with Audits: Providing any requested information or documentation during compliance reviews or audits.

 

Reporting Compliance Issues

 

CareOnDemand encourages all employees to report any suspected violations of laws, regulations, or company policies without fear of retaliation.

 

  • Reporting Channels: Employees can report issues directly to the Compliance Officer, management, or through designated reporting systems (such as confidential hotlines or email reporting tools).

  • Confidentiality: Reports will be handled with confidentiality to protect the identity of the individual reporting the concern.

  • No Retaliation: CareOnDemand strictly prohibits retaliation against any employee who reports compliance issues in good faith.

 

Investigation Process

 

Once a compliance issue is reported, CareOnDemand will follow these steps:

  • Initial Assessment: The Compliance Officer will assess the reported issue to determine whether it warrants further investigation.

  • Investigation: If necessary, a full investigation will be conducted by the Compliance Officer or an appointed internal team. The investigation will gather facts, interview relevant parties, and review documentation.

  • Resolution: Based on the findings, corrective actions will be taken to resolve any non-compliance issues. This may include disciplinary action, policy changes, or further training for employees.

 

Corrective Actions and Disciplinary Measures

 

If a compliance violation is identified, CareOnDemand will implement appropriate corrective measures:

 

  • Corrective Action: This may include revisions to internal processes, enhanced training for employees, or changes to operational practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

  • Disciplinary Action: Employees found to be in violation of laws or company policies may face disciplinary measures, ranging from warnings to termination, depending on the severity of the violation.

 

Reporting to Regulatory Authorities

If required by law or in cases of serious violations, CareOnDemand will report non-compliance issues to the appropriate regulatory authorities.
