About the Role
As a Homemaker, you will provide essential in-home services to clients, focusing on light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation. Your responsibilities include cleaning and organizing areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms, doing laundry, and assisting with basic meal preparation. You will use the client’s cleaning supplies and tools and follow specific guidelines set by the city. This role requires a compassionate individual who respects clients’ spaces and adheres to all service limitations, including avoiding personal care, transportation, and providing supplies.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Homemaker services provided to Client can include the following, unless otherwise approved by the City:
Light Housekeeping
Homemaker uses cleaning tools and supplies of Client.
Vacuum rugs and floors (does not include moving furniture over 50 pounds).
Mop floors where no rug is laid.
Wipe windowsills (does not include washing windows, walls, or doors).
Wash and wipe countertops.
Clean stove and burner pans, if needed.
Clean oven every three months, if needed (Client must spray oven with cleaner the night before).
Clean inside of fridge every three months, if needed.
Wipe top of fridge and outside of appliances.
Wipe front of cupboard doors in kitchen.
Clean sink in kitchen, if empty of dishes.
Mop kitchen floor.
Clean toilet, tub, sink, mirrors, counter, and front of cupboard doors.
Mop bathroom floor.
Dust furniture that is free of articles.
Dust outside of china cabinet only.
Clean one bedroom (if Client has two bedrooms, the primary sleeping room is cleaned).
Clean Client’s phone with a damp cloth.
Take garbage out at conclusion of service appointment.
Laundry Services
Remove bed sheets and remake bed if needed to do laundry.
Do laundry of Client.
Machine launder and dry laundry in home or at a laundromat in building (paid for by Client).
Fold laundry.
Meal Preparation Assistance
Light preparation of individual meals or multiple meals for freezing.
Other, as approved by the City and agreed upon by the Contractor.
The following are prohibited:
Transporting Clients in personal vehicles.
Accompanying Clients to appointments.
Providing any cleaning supplies or paying any personal monies to complete services.
Assisting with personal care or touching Client in any way.
